Friends of Diptford School (FODS) |
Diptford C of E Primary School is a small village school in the South Hams of Devon. The Friends of Diptford School (FODS) is a fundraising group registered with the Charities Commission, which organises events and activities to raise additional resources for the school, for the benefit of all the children. Any parent of a child at Diptford School or Pre-School or any member of the Diptford community can be a member or supporter of FODS. We look after the day to day maintenance of the Playing Field at Diptford Cross. There is a hard tennis court which we are hoping to resurface, play equipment, picnic tables etc for the use of the general community. We always welcome new volunteers to help us look after this valuable resource. |

We meet weekly on Wednesday evenings in the Village Hall. 6.45pm - 9.45pm Refreshments provided. All welcome. Please wear flat bottomed shoes or socks to protect the mats. |
Diptford Social Club |
Diptford Social Club has been created by village residents wishing to build a more friendly and inclusive society in Diptford. We organised village celebrations for the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee, and now the intention is to run social events throughout the year, as a means of bringing us all together. Every member of the community is automatically a member of the Club, and there are no membership fees. It you are a resident of Diptford parish, you will always be invited to our events, which we very much hope you will attend. |

A branch of the National organisation of Womens' Institutes. We meet on the second Monday of each month in the Village Hall at 7.30pm. We have a variety of speakers, and a lot of fun. Trips out include both social and educational outings. All are welcome - dispel that image of Jam & Jerusalem! |
